Salish Peace Hoodie - Eye Of The Creator
Salish Peace Hoodie
In our salish culture, when people paddled to the shore of a neighbouring villeage, upon arrival they would show their paddle blade which would have the Salish Eye of the Creator, the symbol of Peace. When the people on shore saw the Eye of the Creator they would know that the people were syiyaya (friends and family) and would formally invite their guests to shore. This is the protocols that are still practiced today on all water events and especially Tribal Journeys.
